EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES
APRIL 19, 2010
PRESENT: Dave Moore, Larry Lapp, Paul Jacobson, Al Finder, Scott Sinz, Bob Kistner, Mike Lauer, Helmuth Albrecht, Mike Kistner, Wayne Wilson
Reviewed the criteria for Conservationist of the Year and discussed possible non-member nominees. It was decided to remind all members at the regular meeting to submit there nominations.
The Executive Committee reviewed the use of the ATM machine. There is some use and Paul Jacobsen said he is still in favor of keeping it.
Discussed at length, building use and the building rental contract.
Bob Kistner stated the new pheasant pen project is short of materials.
Discussed the number of people that had signed up for the pork dinner. After speaking with John Widmar, it was decided to cancel due to lack of participation.
A motion was made to give 4 chicken dinners to Shakleton’s for the additional work needed for removal of the tree.

CALL TO ORDER
President Dave Moore called the meeting to order.
SECRETARY’S REPORT-BRIDGET SCHROEDER
A reading of the minutes was waived due to them being published in the newsletter, email and posted on the website Mike Benzel moved and Curt Hagberg seconded a motion to accept the minutes as printed in the newsletter. Motion carried.
TREASURER’S REPORT-HELMUTH ALBRECHT
Association account balance is $$26,085.40. Bar & Building account balance is $5,008.63. A motion was made by Heather Kistner and seconded by Jim Mense to accept the treasurer’s report. Motion Carried.

Deer Season increase in deer 59B and 22A. If you hunt in both 59B or 22A you will need to buy 2 antler less tags.

WISCONSIN CONSERVATION CONGRESS REPORT-RUSS HITZ
May 6-8 in Lake Geneva for State Conference
Annual youth fishing at Bull Frog Fish Farm is scheduled for June 8th 5:30 – 8:00. Tilly will help with food, Mike Benzel will donate bait. Need money for raffle prizes. Depending on how many sign up, we may need to have 2 shifts, call Tara King at 713-0121 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org to sign up.

RIFLE RANGE & HUNTER SAFETY-DUKE HOLMBERG
Range clean up went well. 275 trees donated which the Boy Scouts and Menomonie Football team helped plant. Pleasant Valley is donating some more trees. Some trees were trimmed and raked. Electricity was added to building. 42 graduated from Hunter Ed. A check for $729.85 from hunters education class and $77 from ATV club was given to be deposited into the bar account. Next hunter education class begins August 3rd. There will also be a summer class which begins July 19th.

178 tickets sold. 2 coupons, 5 free because of pork dinner cancelled, 14 no-shows. At this time last year, served 233. At total of $143 was received for tips which went to Menomonie High School Science Club for their help in serving.
Women’s Target Shoot has 43 signed up. We need people to help. See or call Gary Buss if you are available to help out.
