EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES

JUNE 21, 2010


PRESENT: Dave Moore, Larry Lapp, Paul Jacobson, Al Finder, Scott Sinz, Bob Kistner, Mike Lauer, Helmuth Albrecht, Mike Kistner, Wayne Wilson, Joel Radke, Chad Mogen


. Discussion building rental.

All Free rentals must be approved by the board.


  1. Pheasant Points – Combining points.

Motion to table. Motion made by Larry Lapp and second by Wayne Wilson


  1. Fair Booth - Fair Dates are 4-8 August 2010

  2. Need to check on use of trailer (Goodrich Trailer)

Motion made by Pookie Albrecht and second by Joel Radke to print 2500 copies of the new brochure. Motion Carried.


  1. Building Contract accepted as revised

Paul Jacobson made the motion Larry Lapp second, motion carried.

  1. Lost Deposit

Small Deposit (Herbie’s). Motion made to rekey building by Scott Sinz and second by Paul Jacobson.

  1. Bonnie Hagberg was contacted by a Caterer that is interested in using the kitchen. Request that she meets with the board.


  1. Irvington Booster Club is looking for a Donation of four chicken dinners and two banquet tickets for their annual fundraiser on August 6, 2010. Motion was made by Al Finder and second by Wayne Wilson to bring up at General Meeting.


  1. Pookie Albrecht made a motion to rescind the motion from the January 2010 to have a tri-annual Bar Gun Raffle.


  1. Pookie Albrecht made a motion to have a bi-annual bar gun raffle. Al Finder second. Motion carried.

  2. Motion made by Wayne Wilson for Pookie Albrecht to go to Stout to check out/purchase the old equipment that Stout is upgrading with new. Second by Larry Lapp, Motion Carried.


  1. Motion made by Mike Kistner to adjourn at 8:45. Second by Bob Kistner.

  1. CALL TO ORDER

President Dave Moore called the meeting to order.


  1. SECRETARY’S REPORT-BRIDGET SCHROEDER

A reading of the minutes was waived due to them being published in the newsletter, email and posted on the website Mike Benzel moved and Al Finder seconded a motion to accept the minutes as printed in the newsletter. Motion carried.


  1. TREASURER’S REPORT-HELMUTH ALBRECHT

Larry Lapp moved and Len Frank seconded a motion to accept the treasurer's report. Motion carried.

President Dave Moore presented the Executive Committee Report


  1. DNR REPORT-JESS CARSTEN, JIM CLEAVEN

Lower Chippewa River Conservation Fund beginning balance was $6,400. YTD raised is $8,800. $10,000 is the magic number. If we can come up with the remaining $1,200 by the end of June, we can get the first disbursement a year from now. Jess asked if we could get this done tonight. If we get to $20,000 the club would have more influence on how the money is spent.


Scopes on muzzle loaders rule is going to legislature for review. If everything goes well, possibly a law by October.

We had 75 kids show up for the Youth Fishing Event. Thank you to everyone who helped out with the event. The kids had a great time.

49 participants have signed up for next Hunter Ed classes to begin on August 3rd. Ceiling is painted. Construction of berm to begin on July 21st.

To place a 2X5 ad in the Eau Claire Leader is $131 a 2X6 ad is $236 ONE TIME. $60 to advertise in Glenwood paper. New posters were presented and there are 12 left. It was suggested to see if we could run ad in the Dunn Energy calendar of events. See if Channel 13 can run a free ad.



  1. OLD BUSINESS-

Woman’s Shoot was a success; despite the weather. 37 women showed up.


  1. NEW BUSINESS-

Upper doors will be re-keyed. Make sure you see Larry Lapp to get a new key.


A picture was passed around of the fishing rods that were made at the Fishing Rod class earlier this month.


Chad Mogen has volunteered to be the Fair Booth Chairman. A sign up sheet to volunteer to work during the fair was passed around.


A motion was made by Scott Seston and seconded by Wayne Wilson to donate 4 chicken dinners and 2 banquet tickets to the Irvington Booster Club. Motion Carried.
