EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES

JULY 19, 2010


PRESENT: Dave Moore, Larry Lapp, Paul Jacobson, Al Finder, Scott Sinz, Bob Kistner, Mike Lauer, Helmuth Albrecht, Mike Kistner, Wayne Wilson, Joel Radke, Chad Mogen


  1. Discussion regarding fair booth.


  1. Discussion on nominations for Conservationist of the Year award (member and non-member.


  1. Discussion regarding pheasant points. It was suggested that the meeting attendance sheets be hung by the door so that everyone can sign in; as opposed to passing it around at the meetings.


  1. Motion was made by Scott Sinz and seconded by Joel Radke to purchase a key box for the Fire Department when the motion is made and passed by the Menomonie City Council. Motion carried.


  1. Discussion regarding adding on a deck (30x56 or 16x56). A committee of Scott Sinz, Larry Lapp, Pookie Albrecht, Paul Jacobson and member-at-large (to be determined) will look into safety and code issues.


  1. The brag sheet that was placed at Anderson Windows was a great help, as they donated to the fall banquet.


  1. The Menomonie Fire Department asked for a donation for the MDA Kick Ball Tournament. A motion was made by Larry Lapp and seconded by Mike Kistner to donate $100. Motion carried.


  1. A motion was made by Pookie Albrecht and seconded by Joel Radke to pay a $50 stipend to Britta Voit for all her work on the new information brochure. Motion carried.


  1. A motion was made by Paul Jacobson and seconded by Mike Lauer to dontate 4 chicken dinner to the Red Cedar Medical Center.


  1. Rod Finder briefed the committee on the kitchen inspection


  1. A motion was made by Pookie Albrecht and seconded by Al Finder to change the Executive Committee meetings to the 3rd Tuesday of the month (except for August, which will be the 3rd Wed) Motion carried.


  1. A motion was made by Mike Kistner and seconded by Mike Lauer to adjourn. Motion carried.

  1. CALL TO ORDER

President Dave Moore called the meeting to order.


  1. SECRETARY’S REPORT-BRIDGET SCHROEDER

A reading of the minutes was waived due to them being published in the newsletter, email and posted on the website Mike Benzel moved and Al Finder seconded a motion to accept the minutes as printed in the newsletter. Motion carried.


  1. TREASURER’S REPORT-HELMUTH ALBRECHT

­­­­$13,000 general checking, $611 in bar account. Raffle money we take in needs to be deposited in association account, not bar account. Heather Kistner moved and Wayne Wilson seconded a motion to accept the treasurer's report. Motion carried.

Don’t forget turkey, grouse tags. Provided wildlife feeding regulations. Fair Booth update: Fish or novelty mounts would be appreciated for the fair booth. See Chad Mogen. If you would be willing to provide a lap top, that would also be appreciated. Will have raffle guns on display. When signing up to work, please provide your phone number.

62 signed up for Hunter Safety, begins August 3rd. See the calendar for upcoming dates. $86 in range box. DKS started working on the berm. Hopefully will get it seeded tomorrow, working hard on getting it finished. NRA grant for $675 is paying for Muzzleload shoot on July 31st.

A motion was made by Wayne Wilson and seconded by Heather Kistner to approve the $250 for key box for Fire Department, when City Council approves. Motion carried.


There will again be a “33” Football pool. The drawing of teams will take place next month, please bring $20 to the next meeting if you wish to participate.
