EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES

November 15, 2010


PRESENT: Dave Moore, Larry Lapp, Scott Sinz, Mike Lauer, Helmuth Albrecht, Mike Kistner, Joel Radke, Chad Mogen, Wayne Wilson, Al Finder, Mike Kistner, Bob Kistner, Les Keusel


  1. Mayor Knaack spoke on the lake clean up. He is asking for a club to take the lead and to handle the funds for clean up of the lake. A motion was made by Larry Lapp and seconded by Wayne Wilson to refer the matter to the Conservation Alliance. Motion Carried.


  1. Discussion on purchasing of tables and chair. Item tabled to next year. Transferred $2,000 to Bar and Building account and discussed energy usage.


  1. Cookbook Demo-The Cookbook Committee (Al Marotz, Pearl Holmstadt, Gary Schwoch) will determine the pricing. A motion was made by Wayne Wilson and seconded by Larry Lapp to set the price of the cookbooks after the cooking demonstration at $15.00. Motion carried.


  1. Discussion on Harmon Dinners. The Harmon’s are OK for next year. Dates are yet to be determined. An idea of selling season tickets was tabled until next meeting.


  1. Request from Menomonie Booster Club for free building usage on January 29, 2011 for “Meet the Coaches” event. Request approved. Request from Boy Scouts for free building usage on April 30, 2011 for annual Pinewood Derby. Request approved.








Wayne Wilson made a motion and Paul Jacobson seconded to adjourn meeting at 6:58 p.m. Motion carried.

  1. CALL TO ORDER

President Dave Moore called the meeting to order.


  1. SECRETARY’S REPORT-BRIDGET SCHROEDER

A reading of the minutes was waived due to them being published in the newsletter, email and posted on the website Mike Benzel moved and Heather Kistner seconded a motion to accept the minutes as printed in the newsletter. Motion carried.


  1. TREASURER’S REPORT-HELMUTH ALBRECHT

­­­­$_________ in general checking, $_______ in bar account. Larry Lapp moved and Jerome Evenson seconded a motion to accept the treasurer's report. Motion carried.

  1. CORRESPONDENCE-DAVE MOORE

Information regarding new cookbook. Introductory price will be $12 during upcoming cooking demonstration, the price will be $3 (refunded if you purchase a cookbook).

  1. RIFLE RANGE & HUNTER SAFETY-DUKE HOLMBERG

Since November 1st, $830 has been taken in the range box. One day they had 67 shooters! Pat Lammer donated the pails to use to recycle the brass. New slab for bathroom, $1000 donation from Stu Mills and labor from Shefchik. Eagle Scouts made a cage for trap shooting and a new handicapped bench. Pistol club will have their annual meeting on December 8th.

$20 given in memory of Willard Price-The family will be making a donation (around $1,000). Looking for ideas for a memorial in his name.

Al May made a motion to sponsor the annual corn beef dinner, called “Bob Stratton St. Paddy’s Day Fest. Motion carried. Dinner will be held on March 17, 2011 and every St. Patrick’s Day hereafter.
