EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES
DECEMBER 20, 2010
PRESENT: Dave Moore, Larry Lapp, Scott Sinz, Mike Lauer, Helmuth Albrecht, Mike Kistner, Joel Radke, Chad Mogen, Wayne Wilson, Al Finder, Mike Kistner, Bob Kistner, Bridget Schroeder
Discussion regarding increase in membership dues. Wisconsin Wildlife Federation membership dues increased from $3.00 to $5.50 each. Larry Lapp spoke with other clubs to find out how much they are charging. Spooner’s dues are $35, Westgate’s are $30, Mondovi’s are $20, after February 1 they increase to $25. It has been almost 17 years ago since an increase and Meals for meetings is just breaking even along with increases in postage to mail newsletter. Paul Jacobson made a motion to increase dues to $20 per year, effective January 1, 2011 seconded by Pookie Albrecht. Motion Carried. Discussion regarding charging an additional amount to those that receive the newsletter via mail died from lack of motion.
There will be another action at Stout on January 4, 2011. The Student Center is closing for the remainder of the year and Pookie is interested in purchasing some of the used tables and chairs. Larry Lapp, Joel Radke and Al Finder will go along with Pookie to purchase and pick up purchases.
Discussion on changing the membership form to include a statement regarding signing a release of any photos that would be published by the club. Larry Lapp made a motion, Pookie Albrecht seconded. Motion Carried. Bridget will make the changes on the membership form and forward it on the Wayne Wilson and Tim Pease for website update.
Wayne Wilson made a motion, and Paul Jacobson seconded, a motion to donate $25 to Year of the Water, 2011, Sustainable Dunn
Bob Kistner made motion, and Paul Jacobson seconded to say NO to the Dunn County Snow park. It has nothing to do with conservation. Motion carried.
Al Finder made a motion, and Wayne Wilson seconded to donate the building to the 4H Youth Day on April 9th. Motion Carried. .
Al Marotz came to talk about the cookbooks. 345 cookbooks only have 21 books left. Suggested that we keep 10 to auction off and give away at events. Thank you to Pearl Holmstadt, Al Marotz and Gary Schwoch. All the cookbook monies will be donated to the youth committee.
Al Finder made a motion and Paul Jacobson seconded to adjourn meeting at 6:50 p.m. Motion carried.

CALL TO ORDER
President Dave Moore called the meeting to order.
SECRETARY’S REPORT-BRIDGET SCHROEDER
A reading of the minutes was waived due to them being published in the newsletter, email and posted on the website Mike Benzel moved and Al Finder seconded a motion to accept the minutes as printed in the newsletter. Motion carried.
TREASURER’S REPORT-HELMUTH ALBRECHT
$_________ in general checking, $_______ in bar account. Len Frank moved and Curt Hagburg seconded a motion to accept the treasurer's report. Motion carried.
3 Stout students from their Marketing & Research class came to speak to the club on what could be done to awareness in the community about our facilities.
Harmon supper surveys, 51 were non-members, unaware of rental facilities, not the first time coming to chicken supper.
Student surveys, price on rental space number 1 concern, unaware of rental facilities.
Recommendations: younger market (internet), focus on web-site to move forward, invest in google adware, work with Stout clubs to host events, time efficiencies and customer service are the main concerns (reservations). Advertise during peak times, such as graduation.

Final supper 292 served. Profit $2,470 and $990 for the bar. The plate cost to us $5.40. $4,459 total YTD profit. If you are interested in being on a committee to help promote the Harmon suppers see Mike or Bob.
