EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES
MAY 23, 2011
PRESENT: Dave Moore, Larry Lapp, Wayne Wilson, Helmuth Albrecht, Len Frank, Scott Seston, Heather Kistner, Scott Sinz, and Bridget Schroeder Special Guests: Dan Prestebak and Bob DeLong
Dan Prestebak came to the meeting to discuss land that is available off of Highway 170. The property is adjacent to the DNR property. The land is 14 acres in a trust and they are asking $29,000, the assessed value is $27,200. Conservation Alliance is asking for donations. Len Frank made a motion and Dave Moore seconded to give to the Alliance $12,000 to help in the purchase of the property.
Safe has been ordered, will arrive the second week in June. We need to determine who has access to it. . Dave Moore made a motion and Wayne Wilson seconded to designate the upper half of the safe to the Treasurer and President. The Cash drawer and change box compartment would be given access to the Bartender’s. Motion Carried. The combination would be changed each year when the new board takes over.
Bob Delong, co-chair of the Harmon Supper committee came and talked to the Board about how the first supper went. He said they sold 5 season tickets and thought overall it went real well. We had lots of compliments about reservations; however it is going to decrease bar sales. As of 2:30 p.m. there were about 185 people signed up for tomorrow night’s supper. Last year at this time, we served around 120.
It was suggested to continue to use the riding lawn mover and use the weed trimmer that is in the shed.
The security system needs to be updated or repaired. Scott Seston will contact Jeff Peabody to make sure that the issues get taken care of. If he is unable to take care of this, then we will need to find someone to take care of the problem. Discussion about changing the code to the outside lock.
Discussion regarding By-Laws was tabled to next meeting.
Clarification was given to Scott Seston regarding the Buildings & Grounds budget. Building & Grounds budget is $5,000 per year and all expenditures of $1,500 or more needs bids and board approval. The floor upstairs will be refinished in June.
Bar Inventory was given to the Board for their information.
Heather Kistner made a motion and Len Frank seconded to not support the Ruffed Grouse Society membership. Motion Carried
Scott Seston made a motion and Dave Moore seconded to accept the new banquet ticket policy as written. Motion carried.
New copy machine has been installed and codes have been given to the appropriate users.
Motion was made by Dave Moore and seconded by Heather Kistner to adjourn at 6:56 p.m.

CALL TO ORDER
President Larry Lapp called the meeting to order.
SECRETARY’S REPORT-BRIDGET SCHROEDER
A reading of the minutes was waived due to them being published in the newsletter, email and posted on the website Mike Benzel moved and Al Finder seconded a motion to accept the minutes as printed in the newsletter. Motion carried.
TREASURER’S REPORT-HELMUTH ALBRECHT
Reading of the treasurers was given. Bar & Building account total revenues $2,044.50 total expenses $1,767.29; Total general account revenues $1,563 total expenses $2,116.45. Bob Stratton moved and Dave Moore seconded a motion to accept the treasurer's report. Motion carried.

WISCONSIN CONSERVATION CONGRESS REPORT-RUSS HITZ
State meeting was uneventful.

YOUTH – JIM CLEVEN
Jay Smith received a donation from Gander Mountain to be used for the youth. If you want to sign up to help with the Youth Bear Hunt, make sure you see Jim to fill out some paperwork to be sent to Madison. Youth Fishing Event is June 16. start fishing at 5:00 p.m.

Rifle range had 40 boy scouts last Saturday, some of the hunter education instructors went to “KID SAFE” event.

No more Earn a Buck or October hunt. Stewardship funds decrease to 60 million. Both bridges on I94 will be replaced in the next 2 years.
