EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING

August 15, 2011


PRESENT: Helmuth Albrecht, Bob Kistner, Heather Kistner, Mike Kistner, Dave Moore, Scott Seston, Wayne Wilson and guests: Al Finder and Al May




Following the death of DCFGA’s President, Larry Lapp on Sunday, August 14, 2011, it was noted the DCFG Association’s By-Laws state in Article 4H


A vacancy in the Executive Committee shall be filled by an election of the general membership…”


Helmuth Albrecht moved that the DCFGA Executive Committee recommend to the general membership that Dave Moore assume the role of DCFGA President effective immediately through December 31, 2011. Motion carried unanimously.


Mike Kistner moved and Bob Kistner seconded to adjourn at 9:04 p.m. Motion carried.

EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES

August 22, 2011


PRESENT: Dave Moore, Scott Sinz, Bob Kistner, Mike Kistner, Heather Kistner, Helmuth Albrecht, Scott Seston, Chad Mogen, Bridget Schroeder, Len Frank & Wayne Wilson


  1. Discussion on Wisconsin Wildlife Federation Membership newspaper subscriptions. Wayne Wilson made a motion and seconded by Heather Kistner to take to the general member allowing us to cancel the newspaper subscriptions, and just pay the membership fee, which will save the club $595 per year. Motion carried.


  1. Discussion of purchasing used “Smartboard/Overhead Projector” from the UW-Stout. Every Thursday Stout has a used surplus sale which would benefit the club for wedding dances, meetings, etc. Wayne Wilson made a motion to try and purchase a used overhead projector for no more than $250, seconded by Scott Seston. Motion carried.


  1. Women’s Pheasant Forever Youth Fair is schedule for Saturday, August 27th at O’Mara’s farm. Workers are needed. We will send out a sign up sheet around at the meeting.


  1. Change of telephone, internet and television service will take effect October 1 with 24-7.


  1. A presentation from Big Brothers and Big Sister will be tabled until next year.


  1. Discussion on the Janitorial position that has now become vacant. A sign up sheet will be distributed to the general membership to establish a cleaning crew until a permanent person can be hired. A employment ad will be posted in the Dunn County News by Scott Seston and Heather Kistner will contact ServiceMaster to get a quote. September 12th we will have a special meeting to look over all the applications.


  1. Motion was made by Chad Mogen and seconded by Dave Moore to allow Al Marotz purchase a new grill for no more than $250. Motion carried.


Motion was made by Bob Kistner and seconded by Len Frank to adjourn at 6:50 p.m. Motion Carried.

1st Vice-President Chad Mogen called the meeting to order.

A reading of the minutes was waived due to them being published in the newsletter, email and posted on the website Mike Benzel moved and Paul Jacobson seconded a motion to accept the minutes as printed in the newsletter. Motion carried.

­­­­$61,111.00 in general checking, $2,530.30 in bar account. Duke Holmberg moved and Jerome Evenson seconded a motion to accept the treasurer's report. Motion carried.

There will be a Fall Banquet wrap up meeting on September 12th at 8:00 p.m. Thanks for everyone’s help. Pre banquet ticket sales $6,587, last year $5,608


  1. RIFLE RANGE/HUNTER SAFETY- Duke Holmberg

Roger will run the range calendar. The next two months will be extremely busy. Hunter’s Eduction had 55 kids enrolled, Thursday will be the last night.

Several donations from area business to be given out at the last night. Duke also has Menomonie Archery Association banquet tickets.

A motion was made by Gary Buss and seconded by Mike Benzel to elect Dave Moore as President of the Dunn County Fish & Game. Motion Carried.


Ron Fry and Heather Kistner Partnering with the Food Pantry have a 50/50 raffle it is still in the planning stages, but would like a motion to move this forward. The only cost to the club would be the printing of the tickets. Would like to stop at $1,000. Pookie will work with Ron and Heather
