EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING

October 24, 2011


PRESENT: Helmuth Albrecht, Bob Kistner, Heather Kistner, Mike Kistner, Dave Moore, Scott Seston, Wayne Wilson, Len Frank, Scott Sinz, Chad Mogen 7 Bridget Schroeder



1. Motion was made by Scott Sinz and seconded by Wayne Wilson to move the December meeting to December 19, 2011. Motion Carried



2. November Executive and Regular meeting will remain on November 28, 2011.



3. Fall Banquet date set for September 8, 2012. Save the date cards will be going out to past participants.



4. There will be a meeting at Scott Sinz’s on November 2, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. to discuss budgeting information that will be discussed with Steve Young so that budget reports can be generated for the meetings.



5. Scott Seston an Dave Moore will create a survey for the people that reserve the building to see how clean the facility was, anything that could be improved on, etc.


  1. Scott Seston made a motion and Len Frank seconded for Heather Kistner to talk to somebody about possible building changes, suggestions, costs and ideas.



  1. Scott Sinz and Wayne Wilson will pursue new board members to take their place. If you are interested in becoming a board member, please see Scott or Wayne,


  1. Wayne Wilson mentioned that Life Members will no longer need to fill our membership paperwork.


Scott Seston made a motion and Mike Kistner seconded to adjourn at 6:35 p.m.

  1. CALL TO ORDER

President Dave Moore called the meeting to order.


  1. SECRETARY’S REPORT-BRIDGET SCHROEDER

A reading of the minutes was waived due to them being published in the newsletter, email and posted on the website Wayne Wilson moved and Mike Benzel seconded a motion to accept the minutes as printed in the newsletter. Motion carried.


  1. TREASURER’S REPORT-HELMUTH ALBRECHT

­­­­$50,164.08 in general checking, $1,508.25 in bar/building account. Joel Radtke moved and Al Finder seconded a motion to accept the treasurer's report. Motion carried.

DNR Secretary is making Tainter Lake a priority.

Date set for next year’s banquet September 8, 2012. Save the date cards are being sent to past participants. A sponsor Thank You will be posted in the newspaper.


  1. RIFLE RANGE/HUNTER SAFETY- DUKE HOLMBERG

Instructor meeting - December 7 at 6:30 p.m. Range is very busy; so far 2623 volunteer hours and 1969 shooters. Straight Edge Construction has donated time and labor to help create a pistol berm. Rifle and Pistol annual meeting December 13 at 6:00 p.m. Concealed carry class has to change, effective 11/1.

½ credit will be given for student to take Hunter’s Education. Earn-A-Buck is a dead issue


  1. ICE FISHING CONTEST – Mike Kistner/Les Kuesel

Dennis Simpson has tickets, please see him to pick some up. Posters have been printed. Need volunteer to run kitchen during contest. Ice Fishing Contest set for February 11, 2012 from 11-3. Next meeting December 12th at 7:00 p.m.


J. JOHN HARMON CHICKEN SUPPER-BOB DELONG/MIKE BENZEL

Last one tomorrow night. September had 219 attendees, profit $1,953.50. Bar made $607 and 9 free dinners were given out. YTD $1,430.95 dinners $1,032.21 bar.

K. BUILDINGS & GROUNDS- SCOTT SESTON

Carpets will be cleaned after deer hunting and work will begin on the ceiling.


L. BAR MANAGEMENT-PAUL JACOBSON

½ Barrel and beer prices may be increased


M. MEMBERSHIP- WAYNE WILSON

Scholarship account to date $44,512. Please get your yearly dues paid. Life members do not need to fill out forms anymore.
