EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING

May 21, 2012


PRESENT: Helmuth Albrecht, Les Kuesel, Kellen Casselius, Gary Schwoch, Scott Seston, Bridget Schroeder, Dave Moore, Jim Thompson, Absent: Bob Kistner, Mike Kistner, Heather Kistner and Chad Mogen



  1. Lower Chippewa Endowment : Jess Carsten brought a purchase order for reimbursement to the meeting. It was for purchases he had made that the club needs to reimburse him for and the club in turn will be reimbursed from the endowment.



  1. Effective June 1, 2012 drink prices will increase for all events. The new prices will be:

Beer – $2.75

Bar Rail – $3.00

Top Shelf – $3.50

Wine – $3.50

Mike’s Hard Lemonade – $3.50

Smirnoff – $3.50

Specialty Beers – $3.50

½ Barrels $200 each with a 2 barrel limit

A motion was made by Jim Thompson and seconded by Len Frank to accept this increase



  1. There is not audit results available yet



  1. Notification was given to the board that the following people would have access to the club’s credit card: Martha Peabody, Scott Seston, Paul Jacobson and Pookie Albrecht. No further discussion was given.



  1. Bridget Schroeder made a motion and Kellen Casselius seconded to spend up to $700 for gutters on the front of the building. Motion carried.



  1. Reminder to all members: Please make sure that the doors to the building are always locked when you leave. It has been reported that doors are being left open or propped open.



Scott Seston made a motion and Dave Moore seconded to adjourn at 6:50 p.m.

  1. CALL TO ORDER

President Chad Mogen called the meeting to order.


  1. SECRETARY’S REPORT-BRIDGET SCHROEDER

A reading of the minutes was waived due to them being published in the newsletter, email and posted on the website Mike Benzel moved and Dave Moore seconded a motion to accept the minutes as printed in the newsletter. Motion carried.


  1. TREASURER’S REPORT-HELMUTH ALBRECHT

$27,400 in general checking, $392.50 in bar/building account. Duke Holmberg moved and Curt Hagberg seconded a motion to accept the treasurer's report. Motion carried.

Scott Sinz reported that the following clubs also helped out with money for the Cedar Falls boat landing: Lake Association $500,

Tainter $1,000, Rock $500, Fish & Game $500

  1. WISCONSIN CONSERVATION CONGRESS REPORT-AL MAROTZ

Pheasants Forever contributed $100 for reimbursement for sending delegates to attend the annual meeting.

Next meeting is June 4 at 7:00 p.m.

Conservationist of the Year nominations should be turned in by June. (See attached form)


  1. RIFLE RANGE/HUNTER SAFETY- DUKE HOLMBERG

Clean up day at the range went well. Aaron Basie from 247-Telcom is donating a sound system to the range, valued at $2,800


Next class for Hunter Ed begins August 1, the cost is $10 (cash only) or you register with the Rec Dept for their hunter ed classes beginning July 16 from 9 am – noon.
