EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING

June 25, 2012


PRESENT: Helmuth Albrecht, Les Kuesel, Mike Kistner Gary Schwoch, Scott Seston, Bob Kistner, Chad Mogen Bridget Schroeder, Dave Moore, Jim Thompson, Absent: Kellen Casselius, Heather Kistner



  1. A motion was made by Chad Mogen and seconded by Mike Kistner to allow Leslie Norris use of kitchen (oven & dishwasher) for her catering business 2 days per week; for 5 hours per day. She is willing to pay $10 -$12 per hour and will provide a month to month schedule. Motion carried. Contact will be made with Paul and Bonnie first.





  1. Pookie informed the committee that we were given notice by the IRS that December, 2010 Quarterly Withholding taxes were not received in a timely manner and we are subject to penalties Steve Young is helping us deal with the situation; and are hopeful that the penalties will be waived.





  1. Security System monitoring contract is up for renewal. We received 2 bids; one from Johnson Control for $396 per year and one from 24-7 for $203.40 per year Telcom. Bridget Schroeder made a motion and Len Frank seconded to award bid to 24-7 Telcom. Motion carried.





  1. Dobb Landing property is for sale; which includes 178 acres with 2 nice ponds. The owners may be willing to sell the land for $1,500 per acre. Fairmont might be willing to help out and there is also stewardship money available.








Scott Seston made a motion and Dave Moore seconded to adjourn at 6:00 p.m.

  1. CALL TO ORDER

President Chad Mogen called the meeting to order.


  1. SECRETARY’S REPORT-BRIDGET SCHROEDER

A reading of the minutes was waived due to them being published in the newsletter, email and posted on the website Mike Benzel moved and Curt Hagberg seconded a motion to accept the minutes as printed in the newsletter. Motion carried.


  1. TREASURER’S REPORT-HELMUTH ALBRECHT

$27,103.95 in general checking, $1,117.29 in bar/building account. Joel Radke moved and Dave Leach seconded a motion to accept the treasurer's report. Motion carried.

  1. FALL BANQUET – DAVE MOORE & BRIDGET SCHROEDER –

Next meeting is July 2nd at 7:00 p.m.


  1. RIFLE RANGE/HUNTER SAFETY- DUKE HOLMBERG

Upcoming events: 8/1 Youth Muzzle Load Shoot and 9/22 is the Pheasant Forever Youth Event, which we need volunteers for. Due to the success of the latest Appleseed shoot, they are looking to have another in August.


We currently have 41 signed up for Hunter Education; to sign up call 232-1664. August 1st begins new class. Ron Fry made a motion and Joel Radke seconded to purchase up to $300 for more Safety Survival Manuals to be given out to participants in Hunter Education. Motion Carried.


  1. WOMEN ON TARGET – APRIL COWAN

89 Shooters and 54 volunteers, many good comments received. We are considering charging a small fee for next year.

Youth Fishing Event went well, thanks to all the helped out! There were a total of 101 kids that participated. Gary Buss made a motion and Martha Stratton seconded to give Tilli 4 Harmon Supper tickets as a Thank you for donating all the food. Motion Carried.


There will be a sign up for a Youth Squirrel Hunt soon.

Participation is really down and currently have 154 signed up for tomorrow. Total profit for May $265 and we still need workers.

Rain gutters with leaf guards have been installed for $800

Need to purchase at least 75 more folding chairs.

Effective June 25, 2012 total amount in scholarship account is $46,238.00
