EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING

October 22, 2012


PRESENT: Helmuth Albrecht, Gary Schwoch, Mike Kistner, Scott Seston, Les Kuesel, Chad Mogen, Len Frank, Dave Moore, Bridget Schroeder, Jim Thompson, Kellen Casselius, Bob Kistner, Heather Kistner


  1. Discussion on management and plan of improvement of parcel of land on Highway K. Jim Thompson will look into getting a group together to look into vegetation, pheasants, walking trail or other habitat.


  1. Jim Thompson made a suggestion that a portion of the budget be allotted each year for land allocation. It was discussed that a percentage (%) of the profits each year be set aside and that a “wish list” be submitted for approval.


  1. Pookie Albrecht made a motion and Dave Moore seconded to purchase a ticket scale for $61.00. Motion carried.


  1. The DNR is looking a purchasing an enclosed trailer for $2,500 that would be used for the fair. Jess has secured $2,000 and would like to know if the club would be interested in helping with the remaining $500. Gary Schwoch suggested the club also contact the Alliance for possible financial assistance. Mike Kistner made a motion to donate the $500 and Kellen Casselius seconded. Motion carried.


  1. Bridget Schroeder made a motion and Les Kuesel seconded to raise the building rental fee for the basement to $200. Motion carried. The current rental fee will now be:


$200 for top half of clubhouse

$200 for bottom half of clubhouse

$350 for whole clubhouse


  1. There will now be a $50 clean up fee assessed to any organization wishing to have the clubhouse donated for a project. However, it is still up to the board’s discretion to waive this fee.


  1. Nominations are now being accepted for the 2013 Executive Committee. Please see Dave Moore and Bob Kistner if you are interested. The following positions will be up for election in December:

  1. A motion was made by Heather Kistner and seconded by Dave Moore to spend up to $250 for a lap top to be used by the club or secretary. Motion carried.


  1. There was discussion on having a thrift sale for any new or used hunting items you wish to donate. Heather Kistner has volunteered to get this moving forward.































A motion was made by Gary Schwoch and seconded by Bob Kistner to adjourn at 6:55 p.m. Motion carried.

President Chad Mogen called the meeting to order.

A reading of the minutes was waived due to them being published in the newsletter, email and posted on the website Mike Benzel moved and Curt Hagberg seconded a motion to accept the minutes as printed in the newsletter. Motion carried.

$46,370.00 in general checking, $1,460.11 in bar/building account. Bridget Schroeder moved and Mike Kistner seconded a motion to accept the treasurer's report. Motion carried.
