EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING

November 26, 2012


PRESENT: Helmuth Albrecht, Gary Schwoch, Henry Hansen, Scott Seston, Les Kuesel, Chad Mogen, Len Frank, Dave Moore, Kellen Cassellius, Heather Kistner, Mike Kistner, Jim Thompson.


  1. Discussed repairs to the Building, new Celings, etc


2. Discussed an idea of a “high roller” banquet


  1. Discussed Report of the Audit Committee. Invited Rich Leventhal~ The Books for the Association and The Bar Account. The Committee felt that all the books are in order. There were improvements made to the bar account. Recommendations are, need to more accountable, good to compare, income, expenses, and for prior years.


  1. Treasurer presented a report on what he does, and thinks that it should be a two person job. Report was passed out on the amount of work and ideas. Tabled for an additional meeting.

  1. CALL TO ORDER

President Chad Mogen called the meeting to order.


  1. SECRETARY’S REPORT-BRIDGET SCHROEDER

A reading of the minutes was waived due to them being published in the newsletter, email and posted on the website Mike Benzel moved and Dave Moore seconded a motion to accept the minutes as printed in the newsletter. Motion carried.


  1. TREASURER’S REPORT-HELMUTH ALBRECHT

Dave Moore moved and Les Keusel seconded a motion to accept the treasurer's report. Motion carried.

  1. CORRESPONDENCE-CHAD MOGEN

Card from the Natural Resources Foundation of Wisconsin. Thank you from Tainter Lake Assocation for use of the Building and support from the Club. Donation of $200 made from the “Ike” Eiseth Family” in Ike’s Memory.

  1. DNR REPORT- JIM CLEVEN, JESS CARSTEN

Jim had a car Kill Bob Cat that was mounted and given to the Fish and Game. A nice deer kill in Dunn County. There was one Wolf killed, off a Damage Control permit. It was an older female. More hot line reports(maybe because of cell phones). Overall the deer kill was up in Dunn County. Jim met w/Marty on the F&G land and what to do with it. Could have a walking trail or sell timber.

  1. WISCONSIN CONSERVATION CONGRESS REPORT-AL MAROTZ

Russ Hitz reported that they are finishing up their yearly meetings. Worked on new bear information.

  1. Rifle Range/Hunter Safety- Duke Holmberg

96 people on the Range Friday before Deer Hunting. 800 Shooters the first two weeks in November. Talked about a Class on Friday, 6-10 p.m. This will give you 39 states for Conceal and Carry. The Cost is $60. Saturday will be the NRA Instructor for Shotgun and Rifle. Working on getting a meeting w/the other county Ranges. Will be posting winter hours and will be on the website.

Need to put up a Flag Pole. Will need to order a new flag. One will be purchases from the Bob Stratton memorial fund.

Need some 2X4 ‘s

Numbers are up this year. Bry’s have about 30 deer, Springbrook has 11.

  1. Finance Committee

Rich Leventhal - explain to the club about the Committee. Their job was to review the audits. This was for the entire club, including the Bar and Building account. They met on 5 November 2012. Compliments to Pookie on the books. Also there has been some improvement to the accounts. This has to do with Paul and Pookie working on the accountability. Should have data for year to year with expenses and profit. Need a club account for beverages. Need a professional accountant.

11. OLD BUSINESS-

Talked about the Buck board and it does run through muzzle loader season.


12. NEW BUSINESS-

Looking for members to run for the Board. (Two Positions)

Need someone to run for Secretary and Treasurer . Need

someone to run for 3rd Vice President. Please contact Dave
