Correspondence: Scott Sinz: Wis. Wildlife Federation petition to cross railroad right-of-way. The petition is to change the law that allows the railroad to currently charge trespass fines.

DNR Report: Jim Cleven, Jess Carstens, Chad Mogen: Jim reported the DNR plane found him 12 illegal baits this year; made it a busy gun season for him.

Dunn Country Alliance Report: Dan Prestebak, Scott Sinz: Scott reported that efforts to start bear hunting season before September 1st (before the acorn drop) were stymied because that would interfere with Native American treaty rights. Zone C might be extended into bow season.

Buss Report: Gary Buss has taken the holidays off from doing ridiculous activities. He needed a break.

  8. Pheasants: Dave Frank: Dave Frank moved, Ryan Gondeck 2nd, that the maximum number of pheasants a member could earn would be changed to 60. Tabled. Much discussion concerning rewarding guys for selling tickets. Al Finder will get together with Ryan to see if a reward system can be created.

  9. Rifle Range: Duke Holmberg, Dave I-Got-A-Gun-Like-That Kraft: Dustin Shakelton is plowing the range for $40/time. The high school trap team has fund raising tickets for sale.

Intermission

    3. Lake bank clean-up: January 14th @ 8:00

    4. New wildlife biologist: Kellen Cassellius moved, 2nd by Gary Buss to have Nate Anderson introduce a new wildlife biologist at our next meeting. Passed.

Executive Board Meeting

Members Present: Kellen Cassellius Jim Cleven, Dave Frank, Ryan Gondeck, Curt Hagberg, Russ Hitz,

Pat Lammer, Dave Pechmiller, Brent Schuler, Gary Schwoch, Garrett Sinz, Scott Sinz, Jim Thompson



Old Business:

  1. Budget: Pat Lammer moved to approve budgeted upgrades except the Wakanda signs because the cost is an unknown. Gary Schwoch 2nd; Passed.

  2. Carpeting: Kellen Cassellius moved, Dave Pechmiller 2nd; to accept Nevin’s bid of $6221 to install new carpeting in the lower level of the Fishs & Game. Passed.

  3. Lake bank clean-up: An effort to clean up the lake bank immediately south of the clubhouse will be held Saturday, January 14th @ 8:00.

  4. Table tops & chairs: They have been delivered: Pat Lammer moved, Ryan Gondeck 2nd, to buy the black chairs and install the table tops with the light (tan) tops. Passed.

  5. Pheasant Points: Consensus for the future to allow members to earn no more than 60 pheasants total. Approximately 100 birds will be set aside for the Fall Banquet.





New Business:

  1. Elections tonight: We need to elect two board members, a second vice president, and a third vice president.

  2. Estate money: Kellen transferred the estate funds from a 1.5% money market account to one earning 1.65%.

  3. Work meetings: Meetings to spruce up the clubhouse will be held at 5:00 on January 10, 11, & 12.
